9 1/2 months

Already?!? How can that be?? Avery had her 9 month check-up on Monday & she checked out great. She was 30" (95th percentile - surprised?) and 19lbs-4oz (50-75th percentile). As each day passes I think, "This stage is my favorite". She's definitely in to new things every day and continues to be such a JOY in our lives.

A few of her recent accomplishments include: crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything, pulling up & down a napkin or bib to play peek-a-boo, waving and saying "ba ba" (her 1st half-way word!!), beginning to associate "ma ma" and "da da"
with Kurt & me, & mirroring noises and movements as she sees Kurt & me do them.

Here are some pix from the last month...

We went to see Avery's dermatologist @ Texas Children's on June 4th. She said Avery's hemangioma looked great and told us not to come back. Great news! Though every hemangioma is different in its growth & regression (involution), Avery's is in the involution stage and Dr. Bree believes it will be gone within the next few years.

We celebrated the arrival my friend Emily's new baby boy with a shower in Fort Worth in early June. It was great to meet the precious baby Grant, and to visit with good my friends Em & Tobyn.

While in the area, we also got to visit with my sister & other extended family. It was so great to see everyone!

Kurt was out of town on Father's Day (boo!), but we celebrated with Big Daddy.
