Big Weekend!

We had a great weekend! It started with the arrival of out-of-town family on Friday - first my grandmother Mimama, next my sister, her dog Scooter & her fab friend & roomy Blair, & then Kurt's parents & dog Ollie. My parents came over that evening and we had a great big family fun night!
Saturday morning, Kurt & I left for a quick trip to Dallas to attend my friend Emily's wedding. (A big shout out to my sweet husband who drove 7 hours roundtrip with me, even with his parents in from out of town!) Em was a beautiful bride, and she & her new husband Greg looked perfectly in love. It was fun to briefly catch up with some Dallas friends as well.
Sunday was Avery's baptism! She was super during the service and we felt so blessed to be joined by some family and wonderful friends. It was a very special day - a time for Kurt & me to focus on our dedication to the Lord and the importance of raising her among others in the body of Christ....that we may so order our lives after the example of Christ so that Avery, surrounded by steadfast love, may be established in the faith and encouraged and strengthened in the way that leads to life eternal!

Avery wore a baptism dress that was worn by Kurt's grandpa, Captain Bob (also a pilot), and her bonnet was from my Grandmother's mother. She looked beautiful.
