Vintage Easter

Avery's Easter smock dress was one that her Aunt Abby or Mommy (we can't remember) wore as a little girl. It was made by her very own great-Mimama, so these pictures are extra special to us.

Another vintage item - her Aunt Abby's easter egg basket, also made by Mimama.

I love this stuff! What a lost art - and I think I know why...I started cross-stitching a few months ago and it's time consuming, even the beginner level. We, younger folk, have become so used to instant gratification that it's become quite a challenge for us (maybe I'm just speaking for myself) to be patient & wait for...well, most anything.
Thanks Mimama for your gifts of love & sacrifice of time. You are such an inspiration to me and all who know you!

Avari looks precious, as usual. And I love the new header pic. And you, BTW, look lovely in the earlier post in your sweet white dress.

How special to wear a dress of mommys or Aunt Abby's and that your Grandma made it! Hope you had a great Easter.

Love Avery's vintage dress! So cute! By the way, I used to cross-stitch a lot (nerd, I know), and I really liked it! I've got lots of stuff at the house if you ever need to borrow anything!
