Happy Moo Year!!
Kurt was on a "trip" (work) over New Year's so Avery & Natalie rang it in with the Lawrences and some family friends. Good wine, great fellowship, a terrific way to start '08!
Party pix to come...
Aunt Abby's friend Blair came to visit over the holidays. Avery loves Blair:)
Living Room Slumber Party!
Much to Nat's excitement, we pulled our mattress into the living room for a Slumber Party - for 2 whole nights! 1st night was girls night w/ Aunt Abby, then Kurt got to join in on the fun when he returned from his trip. Warm fire, Christmas tree all lit up, watching movies on a comfy mattress - what could be better!?! Avery agreed, "Great idea mommy!"
Our little girl is growing SO quickly. We were blessed to have received so many adorable outfits as gifts....I am constantly having to take inventory in her closet and dresser to make sure she doesn't grow out of things before she has a chance to wear them! This is when you wish for the same sex for child #2!
Giddyup! I'm ready to roll!
Avery's great-grandma Muttie sent this "Somebody in Newport Beach loves me" onesie and the skates are from our church friend Steph J. Sweet get-up!
Nat's friend Kristi gave these "ballet shoe" socks to Avery. Perfect 'cause she's already started dancing!
Avery's 1st day w/ Aunt Steph and the triplets - doesn't she look so excited!?!
Steph made Avery this adorable onesie that is 1/2 of the BFF heart - "St Ends". Steph's daughter Lauren has the other 1/2.
Now that Nat is back to work part-time, Avery will be hanging out w/ the Triplets on days that Daddy is not home. Reportedly (I hope Steph is telling me the truth) Avery is being a good little girl - I can only imagine the fun they all have!
Movin' and shakin'....I've quickly learned that I can't get caught up about what Avery "should" be doing based on what I read....like "your newborn should be reaching for things by 7 weeks". Nope, didn't happen; not at 7 weeks, not at 11 weeks, but here we go...just in the past couple of weeks she's started getting really focused on objects and is grabbing things more & more. When at first I thought "Come on, do it, do it", now I think, "Slow down there....you're growing up too fast!"
We had a belated Christmas with Kurt's parents in Kerrville. It was a quick weekend trip, but such fun! Thanks for a wonderful Christmas Mam & Pap!
One of Avery's favorite gifts - this adorable jacket from great-grandma Muttie! Thanks Muttie!
Avery & Mam
Visit w/ great-aunt Audie
On our drive back home, we stopped off to visit with cousin Jackson, Aunt Christy & Uncle Jon.
We had lunch w/ friends, Colin & Hallie this week (& their mommies too).
Dinner w/ Nat's YAM bible study friends. Nat misses the YAMers since she hasn't been able to participate after Avery's arrival. Thankfully, we are welcome to visit and hang out with the group anytime, so we joined a great dinner at the Northcutt's. Most of the group left before this pic, but I had a get a shot of Avery w/ her extra-grandparents....Joel, Sarah, Karen, Bruce, Leslie & Paul.
Big Daddy & Pap, looks like you might have some competition:)
