Let your light shine!!

We received some mail from KSBJ (Christian Radio Station) today and this statement really stuck out to me...

"May your days be filled with love, laughter, and peace so that your light will be a place of calm & peace for those around you."

In this season of busy, busy, hustle & bustle, it's neat to think that as Christians we have the opportunity to share not only Christ's love but also his calm & peace. I know for me, however, that I must make a conscious effort not to desire to be so "busy". It sure is fun & exciting to have a full schedule, but (as Kurt often reminds me) it's so important to make equal time to BE STILL. It's during those times (for me at least) that I am able to rest and be filled with Christ's qualities(love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness & self control) so that I may stand out and allow my let shine for Him. This time of year, more than others, it can be so easy for me to get caught up in the desires of the world. But it's only in Christ that the JOY of Christmas will remain after the season and through the coming year.

May we all take time to be still so that our lights will continue to SHINE brightly!
